AI Can Teach Employees When It Acts as a Coach, Not a Substitute for Thinking

Psychologist Angela Duckworth described in HBR IdeaCast an experiment in which working with AI improved writing ability even a week after the task. The result does not justify handing all work to a machine. The benefit came from people seeing a better example and learning from it. Companies must therefore distinguish routine tasks suitable for delegation from activities that build judgement and expertise.
