Half of Employees at Swiss Small Businesses Experienced a Serious Cyber Incident Within Three Months

Deloitte found a pronounced gap between actual and perceived cyber risk among Swiss small and medium-sized businesses. Forty-nine percent of employees experienced a serious incident during the previous three months, yet only 22 percent consider their company's risk to be high. According to Deloitte, AI accelerates attacks and makes them easier to scale. For smaller businesses, basic security, recovery plans, and insurance are therefore becoming more important, although insurance remains uncommon among the smallest firms.
