Mistral introduced AI for forecasting production, energy use and failures. A standard processor is enough

Mistral introduced the Timestral family of models for time-series forecasting. The largest version has only 209 million parameters and, according to the vendor, outperforms larger competing systems in three public benchmarks. The models can run on standard processors without graphics accelerators. For industry, energy and logistics, an important feature is the ability to predict not only an expected value but also the range of uncertainty.
