LNG terminals are critically important both for Germany and Europe

Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Katherina Reiche, has stressed the importance of liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals in safeguarding the country’s energy supply during a period of geopolitical strain. Speaking at the National Maritime Conference and during a visit to a floating LNG facility in Wilhelmshaven, she described the terminals as a “central building block” of energy provision, ensuring reliable gas deliveries to households and industry even in difficult times.
