Manager assessment may change: knowing how to use AI will not be enough; what matters will be how leaders design work with it

Knowledge of AI tools is quickly becoming a basic expectation. For company leadership, however, it matters more whether a manager can choose the right task, provide the system with the necessary context, set boundaries and reject a flawed output. Manager assessment may therefore shift from individual skills toward how well a person manages the entire work system made up of people and AI.
