Almost every company promises savings, but only a minority captures the expected value. The problem is execution

According to a global Deloitte survey, 96 percent of organizations are carrying out some form of cost transformation, yet only 14 percent capture the expected value. A list of cuts is therefore not enough. Once leadership publicly links savings to future performance, execution becomes a matter of investor and board confidence. The company needs to track whether changes actually remove costs or merely shift them elsewhere.
